Ending a week that began with sorrow and loss……with celebration and joy.

– If anyone’s caught me grumbling the past 6 weeks, there’s a 99.9% chance that grumbling was related to me working on a lil’ talk. Welllllllllllllll, I’m happy to share all that effort ended up being way worth it: Gave the new talk to a couple hundred amazing people in ballroom in downtown Denver yesterday, and the response has blown me away (still reeling from it). —> People lining up to speak with me, to share their own tears and stories, to share that so much suddenly makes sense to them, to share they felt like my words hit them like a truck, to offer words of support and gratitude, to ask how they could work with me, to ask how they could learn more about my work and take next steps.

– My mentor was released from the ICU. So thankful there.

– Last night I celebrated with one of my best buddies, one of my clients-turned-friends, and a brand new friend. We drove around in what I understand is a rather fancy car, crushed the standing world record in a local escape room, kicked it on a rooftop patio that both overlooked downtown Denver and offered a panoramic view of a Rocky Mountain sunset, dined outside in Cherry Creek, attended a panda party, and stayed up until a ridiculously silly hour talking about massive future dreams (though I did have to brace myself against the relentless onslaught of peer pressure to increase the frequency of my heliski trips).

– today I lounged by the creek in the Autumn sun and watched the fish swim lazily about and just closed my eyes as the light breezes came and went.

– i ate chocolate cake AND M&Ms this weekend. (Those who know me: I’m ok and no it won’t be happening again for a looooong time.)

– I’m headed out to hit some singletrack with another friend here in a short bit, then out for a bite of sushi after that.

I admit to still having a bit of head-trash about being as old as I am, but so far the rest of my life seems to be off to a good start.

Thanks to everyone who’s been a part of this amazing ride as of late. Love you all so much.

Think it’s time to buckle my seat-belt here.
